MTC Art Studios, Inc.

Studio Art Lessons

Our artists, both young and old, learn, in the studio, how to work toward a common goal, develop character, and express themselves through their gift of art. They experience diversity at its best; using critical thinking to explore together, discover together and grow together.

Students enroll in weekly classes for 2 hour sessions to cultivate their talent. They receive quality instruction according to their short and long-term goals in Art. Their training -

  • Focuses on promoting the student through multiple skill levels of creative performances

  • Teaches various art principles and techniques

  • Develops mature portfolio with a collection of artworks worthy of auditions

  • Equips the student with the artistic expertise necessary to successfully occupy a professional position in the industry of Art, if desired.

CURRICULUM

The curriculum starts off with evaluating the level at which their skills are when they enter the program. This (40-60 min.) testing time involves answering a 3-page questionnaire, executing a 20-minute drawing exercise, then interviewing the student and parent(s). During the interview, existing artworks from the youth are examined (to get a better idea of his/her abilities).

OUR MISSION

Becoming "More Than A Conqueror"

MTC stands for ‘more than conquerors’. MTC Art Studios, Inc. was created to assist today’s artists in realizing their full potential as Visual Artists. We are a learning center based on godly principles; providing a creative environment for artists of all ages to develop their talents and share it with the world. Within this environment, we aim to cultivate ‘the whole person’ through art – teaching them to ‘conquer’ life’s obstacles and become positive components in their communities, in the professional world and abroad.

Character Building
Assessing the self-esteem of artists and helping them realize that they are special, gifted, and capable of making a unique contribution to society through their talents, is critical for the success of our future leaders. This tier enables artists to strengthen their self-image and gain a positive view of the vital role artists play in society.

Entrepreneurship
Teaching artists how to create income provides them with a sense of security in their chosen profession. This tier focuses on achieving independence and stability by becoming productive in one’s craft. It also introduces business strategies for managing resources, saving, and investing profits.

Community Service
Learning to ‘give back to the community’ teaches artists how to form bonds with the community. This tier is designed to ensure that young artists discover the rewards that come from serving others with their talents without always expecting payment. It introduces them
to leaving a legacy at an early age.
