MTC History

Dedicated To Change

MTC has been thriving since its founding in August 2002. What began with just two students (who are still with us today) has grown into a vibrant program serving over 60 students. Recently, we’ve expanded to include adult classes, further enriching our dynamic offerings. Our philosophy is to nurture each student’s unique talents while also mentoring their character through their artistic gifts.

We are committed to supporting our community, offering one “tithe” student—a student who attends at no cost—for every nine paying students enrolled. This ensures that no one is left behind, regardless of financial circumstances. For us, art is a doorway to the heart, where true treasures are found.

MTC is dedicated to mentoring these exceptional young people, guiding them toward their future and helping them realize their full potential. Our aim is to leave a lasting legacy—one that bears the fruits of success, well-being, and personal growth. By the time their journey with us ends, we are confident they will have become “More Than Conquerors.”

Our Three Teirs

Character Building
Assessing the self-esteem of artists and helping them realize that they are special, gifted, and capable of making a unique contribution to society through their talents, is critical for the success of our future leaders. This tier enables artists to strengthen their self-image and gain a positive view of the vital role artists play in society.

Entrepreneurship
Teaching artists how to create income provides them with a sense of security in their chosen profession. This tier focuses on achieving independence and stability by becoming productive in one’s craft. It also introduces business strategies for managing resources, saving, and investing profits.

Community Service
Learning to give back to the community teaches artists how to form bonds within the community. This tier is designed to ensure that young artists discover the rewards that come from serving others with their talents without always expecting payment. It introduces them to leaving a legacy at an early age.
